I have a new blog at Toni Watts Wildlife Art where you can read about the wildlife I have seen and the paintings it has inspired.
Exhibition dates will also be regularly updated on that site.
For updates about my work using traditional art techniques, do visit Toni Watts Art Studio.
Pre-2014 and the new blog....
14th December 2013 - After much thought I have decided to move my traditional art combining gold leaf, illustration and lettering to its own dedicated site at Toni Watts Art Studio.
10th Oct 2013 - My miniature painting of a robin has been selected for exhibition with the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers at the Mall Galleries, London.
21st September 2013 - I have been asked to write a chapter on painting wildlife in a book called 'The Art of Painting in Acrylic', due to be published in America in 2014. The book will include step-by-step- instructions on how my wildlife art is created, from initial sketch to finished product.
21st August 2013 - Fantastic to meet so many of you at the Birdfair. For those who are waiting, Spoon-Billed Sandpiper prints should be available to buy online on 9th September (I am just waiting for a planned webstore update to take place). Work on the Raven print is ongoing - bear with me!
October 2012 - My first miniature wildlife painting (of a wren) has been selected for exhibition by the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers at the Mall Galleries, London. I am chuffed to bits!
June 2012 - 'Then and Now' was selected for a further exhibition at David Shepherd's headquarters in Shalford, Surry.
April 2012 - David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year 2012 Exhibition
I am over the moon that my painting 'Then and Now' has been chosen as one of the finalists in this prestigious international competition. It will be hung, amongst a selection of wonderful wildlife art, both painting and sculpture, at the Mall Galleries in May this year.
